Modern Warfare 2 By Infinity Ward

You can run but you can't hide, if you own a PS3, Xbox 360, or even a Wii you have heard of the allmighty Modern Warfare 2.

Basics

In mw2 you follow a campaign that builds off of the first one, leaves you on a cliffhanger, and hype is already building for a third one. Yes MW2 is one of the biggest games of all time. With amazingly addictive gameplay, over the top graphics, and one of the best multiplayers of all time, it should be.

The Story

Like all Call of Duty games you play as multople characters throughout the story. MW2 is no different you play as three different people but instead of a seperate story their stories build off of eachother. I didn't get a whole lot of the story in mw2, all I know is that you hunt a guy named Makarov under the order of General Shepard. While I don't get the point of many of the missions I do know that every mission has epic seens that were obviously inspired by war movies. The story is scratchy but all comes together in an epic ending but I wish it made more sense throughout the game. The story also is also just short. It only took me a total of 4-6 hours to beat it however the campaign is not the the reason to buy the game.

Two Player

In mw2 there are two different two players, the regular 2-4 player battles, and a new mode called spec ops. In the 2-4 player battles it can be 1v1 2v1 3v1 and 2v2. You can create your own classes and level up just like online. In spec ops you can play by yourself but playing with a friend makes it extremely fun. There are 24 missions that are either based off the campaign or just a random mission. It's fun but it losses steam fast, actually both of them lose steam fast.

Online Play

The online gameplay is the reason to get the game. It is insanely addictive to go around blasting the sh** out of people and maps are pretty well done. There are some server issues every once in a while but for the most part it runs smoothly. It does sometimes put you into lobbies you've already quit out of but that is a small complaint. MW2s online also has a lot of custom features. You can create your own classes with so many things to choose from such as, Primary Weapon (Assault Rifles, Sub-Machineguns, Light-Machineguns, Sniper Rifles, and Riot Shields) Secondary Weapon (Machine Pistols, handguns, shotguns, and rocket launchers) Not to mention there are about 50 attachments that help out your gun. You also have three different perks which can help with damage level, faster reloading, faster sprinting, better aim, etc. The gameplay onlinecould be a bit smoother but it is extremely addictive.

The Verdict

All in all mw2 is an amazing game. While it does have a few presentation issuses online (small complaint) and the story needs some work the overall game is amazing.

Uncharted 2 : Among Thieves Review

Storyline

Wow........ Uncharted 2. Just wow. This game is simply amazing. It takes place all over the world from Italy to Borneo, Nepal to Tibet. You're a famed fortune Hunter, Nathan Drake who is lured into the world of thieves when your friend, Flynn tells you about a treasure that could make you wealthy beyond belief. You then find that your not alone in this hunt for power. A fugitive war criminal has hired an army to help him find the treasure that could make him the fiercest leader the world has ever seen. This story is full of betrayals and last second failures that lead to the climax.

Settings

This game has amazing graphics and almost realistic views. This game has three main aspects, fighting, climbing, and solving puzzles. The action scenes in this game are vast. You have stealth kills, gun fights, melee fights, and even turret vs helicopter fights. Climbing is okay, though it can get irritating when you are falling constantly or don't know where to jump to, it makes you feel like some sort of ninja when you are jumping from ledge to ledge. Solving puzzles is the same, irritating when you get stuck, but gives you a sense of pride when you complete them.

Game Play

As I said before there are three main types of game play, fighting, climbing, and puzzles. However, there are time when those aspects are combined and make it more fun, but also more challenging. There is also game play where you have moving environments and you have to compensate turns and speed.

Online Play

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves monline multiplayer is one of the best I've ever seen. Everyone starts out with the same weapons and you have to find others which makes it more fair since usually the higher ranks have better guns. I've never seen anyone hack this game and I've owned for nearly a year now and there's almost no lag. The game play here is simply addicting and will have you hooked for days of game play.

The Verdict

Overall this game kicks ass. It's graphics are amazing and gameplay is simply very fun. I recomend it to anyone who owns a PS3.
